With Pakistan's alignment to communist China, the United States has fewer options to influence the Mallaca Strait without Indian support. India also needs to check Chinese influence in communist Bengal, Chattisgadh, Gadhchiroli, Telangana & Kerala, and its North Eastern provinces in which trickels down a maoist decree from Beijing that aspires to create a Red Corridor from Arunachal Pradesh, Nepal & Bangladesh to the Indian Ocean. The two greatest economies of the world desire to have an indirect influence over the great Indian Peninsula and the IOR. At an economy of $3.5 trillion India is way behind China and the US. But is still a major player in the south Asian geopolitics.
